Bicentenary Birthday Luncheon 2019
Sunday, 01 December 2019 at 1.00pm
Members should have received in the last few days their information packs in the post relating to this year's annual luncheon.
The first annual luncheon was held in November 1930 the year the Fellowship was formed and for this bicentenary year we wanted to choose a special venue. Therefore this year's luncheon will be held on Sunday 1st December in the Great Hall at St Mary’s Guildhall, Coventry. You may recall that the Hall was the setting of Hetty’s trial in Adam Bede
We would like guests to arrive at approximately 12:00pm so they can be seated by 1:00pm. Upon arrival reception drinks will be served in the Undercroft which is located across the courtyard from the Great Hall where we will be dining.
The Guildhall is now closed to visitors and in 2020 will be the subject of an archaeological investigation which will include the restoration of the medieval kitchen, one of only five remaining in the UK.
Tickets for the 3 course luncheon are priced at £40 and there will be 2 choices per course to choose from. Any specific dietary requirements must be stated when booking. We will need to receive all menu choices by Sunday 17th November so we can pass them on to the catering staff at the Guildhall. A booking form is available for you to download at the bottom of this page along with some public and disabled car park maps to help you plan your journey. We realise that it may be difficult for some guests to get to the Guildhall, so we have arranged for a 35 seat minibus to pick guests up from Nuneaton Heritage Centre and drop them off outside the Guildhall and return them to Nuneaton after the event.
We really hope you can join us for this special event and look forward to receiving your booking.
